Landscape photographer, nature lover, traveller and eternal wanderer

Born in the Peak District in the UK, an area renowned for its natural beauty, it’s understandable that I have always loved nature and the great outdoors. Despite growing up in a landscape photography hotspot, my own photography journey did not begin until after I had moved away from the area.

In 2009, whilst studying at university in Birmingham, I first visited the Isle of Skye in Scotland. I fell in love with the island the moment I saw the Black Cuillins peeking out of the clouds for the first time. After several years of visits and thousands of disappointing (and terrible) phone photographs, I was inspired by the work of professional landscape photographers to acquire my first DSLR and attempt to photograph those iconic peaks.

It didn’t take long for my photography obsession to take hold and so, when I was given the opportunity to go travelling in 2018, I knew that my camera simply had to come with me. After a year of hard work and anticipation, I set off on my journey in April 2018, armed with a one-way ticket to Australia and a backpack full of lenses.

What followed have been the most incredible years of my life. I have been fortunate to travel extensively, witnessing the natural beauty in Australia and New Zealand, exploring vibrant cultures in Southeast Asia, and immersing myself in diverse cityscapes across Europe. Along the way meeting the most wonderful people who have become steadfast friends for life.

Most recently, my journey took me to Canada, where I initially planned to spend a year backpacking before obtaining a working holiday visa for New Zealand. However, the world had other plans. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to make Canada, specifically the stunning Yukon Territory my new home. The wild open spaces of the Yukon captivated me and I felt lucky to be able to spend my spare time exploring the northern wilderness with my camera. After several years of saving, planning, and dreaming, I'm now leaving the Yukon behind and will be back on the road again. I am eagerly anticipating the new experiences my next travels will bring.

I invite you to join me on my journey. Click here to read about my current adventures.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
